What makes a good podcast? Its all so terribly subjective, you see. This is my opinion. You may share it, or not, and thats ok. Suggest, yes. Mock, no:)

Some of these come and go on my playlist, depending on busy week. I also listen to a lot of audio books through Audible.com, so there are only so many hours. Some weeks, i do a big catch up, if they have accumulated. You are not obliged to listen to every episode after all – i felt oddly disloyal at first, but you get over marking your favourites as read and moving on:)

Some of these are audio options only, some have video options too.

• Ok, my very favourite podcast – Boxcutters – a podcast done in radio about television. It is insane snd brilliant, witty and funny and clever. They have said nice things about me twice, so they have bought my soul, or at least a temporary part of it. Sucks to be them;)
• Leo Laporte and the gang of the TWiT network - specifically, Macbreak Weekly, This Week in Google, Tech News Today, Dr Kiki’s Science show, This Week in Law, and (the original, and best) This Week in Tech
• The dominant backline of Roy & HG on This Sporting Life
• The science and charisma that is Dr Karl & Science on Triple J
• The intelligence and wit of Harry Shearer in Le Show
• I listen to several podcasts on from the ABC – especially Radio National shows like Late Night Live, Hindsight, Background Briefing, Law Report, Counterpoint, Philosophy, the Science Show etc
  
• Linux Action Show – massive amounts of Linux goodness
• AstronomyCast has one of my favourite podcasts on my beloved astronomy…
• The Sceptics Guide to the Universe for all the information and discussions of the latest from the world of the paranormal, fringe science, and controversial claims, all from a scientific point of view:)
• The joy of Space with NASA (video and audio)
• Tech news and views with Cranky Geeks
• The Evernote podcast
• Lots of different How Stuff Works – the Brain Stuff, Stuff in History, and Stuff Mom Never Told You are very good options.
