Paroxetine (also known by the trade names Aropax, Paxil, Seroxat, Sereupin) is an SSRI antidepressant. Marketing of the drug began in 1992 by the pharmaceutical company SmithKline Beecham, now GlaxoSmithKline. Paroxetine is used to treat major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, Posttraumatic stress disorder and generalized anxiety disorder in adult outpatients.
Azathioprine is an immunosuppressant, that is, a drug that is used to suppress the immune system. It is used to treat patients who have undergone kidney transplantation and for diseases in which activity of the immune system is important. Azathioprine is a prodrug (a precursor of a drug) which is converted in the body to its active form called mercaptopurine (Purinethol).

Elavil is used for treating depression. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Elavil is a tricyclic antidepressant. How tricyclic antidepressants improve depression symptoms is not fully understood. They are thought to increase the activity of certain chemicals in the brain (norepinephrine, serotonin), which help improve mood.
Glucophage (Metformin) is an oral diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. Glucophage is for people with type 2 diabetes. Glucophage is sometimes used in combination with insulin or other medications, but it is not for treating type 1 diabetes. Glucophage may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
