Twenty-First Century Stoic — From Zen to Zeno: How I Became a Stoic – Boing Boing

Part 2 is up as well.

So thats what they call it. I have been this for a few years now, and am glad (not surprised) someone else has gone before me. Now i can learn more ways.

Don’t get me wrong. I have bad days (today is one indeed) – my medication caused great physical anxiety, and other symptoms of depression. However, my stoicism allows me to get through it eventually, if not immediately. I recognise the chemical nature of the issue, and can get through it.

It is very similar to mindfulness, which i have also learnt much about, thanks to the generous help of someone, (who i was lucky enough to have as a good friend at the time I was looking for such a method), who is a psychologist.
