Playing patch day…

Ok people, kind of a Play School guide to patch side effects, let’s pretend for a while.

Eyes closed. Now, if you spun wildly and rapidly round in one direction, and abruptly stop, eyes still closed, there is the underlying slightly sick feeling dizziness.

Now, keeping the idea if that feeling underlying everything, we will uses some visualisation to complete the concept. Your mind is a tranquil pond most of the time – no matter how fevered the thoughts, your minds a stable platform. However, every 72 hours, you replace the patch. All is okay for about 6-7 hours. Then you start to get the underlying feeling from earlier. Not much fun, but add in a growing sensation that peaks two hours on, and lasts the rest of a 24 hour period – sometimes a few hours longer, depending on how tired you are.

The patch leaves you permanently tired, btw.

Ok, mind == pond. Now in throes of patchiness, imagine throwing a huge rock in, creating epic ripples that are a milliferkin below wave status. Each thought after this becomes fragmented by the somehow permanent ripples. Don’t forget our background spin cycle.

Now, close your eyes. Sleep much? Yeah, me either;)))

Mind you, on the plus side, there is zero psychological addiction. Ridiculously huge physical addiction, which is a whole other mess. But definitely none of this recreational sense about it all:)))

So, if I whinge a bit about it, think about the description above, and also understand:
1. it helps me, enormously
2. it’s my blog and I’ll cry if I want to…
