  • iLike, one of the 5 essential tools for marketing your band, is already great at helping artists create a single page that can reach their fans almost anywhere online, and help them monitor fan response.
  • If you like the looks and features of Ubuntu 9.04, but want a lighter, swifter version of it, try this minimalist installation that can knock memory usage down by up to 75 percent.
  • DISCLAIMER: This post is not at all Ubuntu-specific, but it is Ubuntu-applicable. This tip will actually work on any platform as it is Gmail specific, and I know many of you are big Gmail fans.
I have had my Gmail account since the time of the earliest invites, and my email address is splattered all over the web these days. From site registrations to mailing lists, from stupid forward chains I got pulled into to.. well, you get the idea. The result of this is that I get A LOT of Spam in my Gmail account. Now, to Gmail’s credit, the vast majority of it gets deleted or put into my Spam folder automagically. I’m talking ~1000 emails into my Spam/Trash folder within a 24hr period. It’s ridiculous!
  • Not even a year ago, Facebook was still being dismissed as a silly site intended to help college kids slack off. Indeed, that is what helped the social network take hold with a large number of users, but it has proven its worth in business and by now, nearly everyone is on board. Companies of all sizes are scrambling to get on the site and reach both new and current customers with a Facebook (Facebook reviews) Page, the Facebook preferred method for user interaction with a brand, company or public figure.

How does your garden grow?

Got home from work, and in less than an hour, (it must be said, with Dad’s help), made mega pot of vege soup, now cheerfully simmering away (enough to feed friends and family for several days!), bread rolls rising, and several herbs and things* planted:)

*bok choi, mint, coriander, more sweet basil, strawberries, horseradish now joining the chives, garlic chives, parsley, spicy basil, spinach, silverbeet, broccoli, more mint, chillis, oregano, and about 14 citrus trees bearing masses of fruit in my front yard. The backyard has more vegies and the stone type fruit trees, the apple trees, the chooks..gorgeous!!

Redesign mayhem

Look, gentle reader, changes afoot here at the abode of the timelady, but this is a process. I have had a busy few weeks, so it has taken longer than I would like,  and I ask you to now bear with me:)

I also suspect doing websites for a business does sort of push mine to the backburner, no?
